For DOC/UNDOC, Booklab II is teaming up with Moving Parts Press to create the book portion of a grandiose collaboration of artists who have a created a work that stimulates all of the senses. This book is our current project which, upon completion, will be an edition of sixty-five signed and numbered accordion-fold books containing fifteen original relief prints letterpress printed by Felicia Rice at Moving Parts Press on handmade British Wookey Hole paper. The text of each page is a transcript of performances by Guillermo Gómez-Peña. Each print page is mounted on rich brown handmade Japanese Chiri paper.
The cover of each book is a satin piping lined luxurious leopard print faux fur and each book is housed in a double tray drop spine box with handmade golden-yellow Indian Reptile Skin textured paper liners, each box wall is lined with handmade green American Cave paper. The box is covered in black Italian Canapetta lined with red rowlux. Vinyl lettering down the spine reads DOC/UNDOC MPP.
